The Abbey is designed to serve groups of people, whether school or church groups or bands of friends and families. The large common room with its fireplace and elevated fireplace lounge area is the central focus of the lodge, providing ample room for an entire group to gather for relaxation or for community building activities. In addition to the fireplace lounge, the common room features cable TV, piano, dry bar, four tables and assorted chairs and benches.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, range, microwave, Nesco electric cooker, toasters, large & regular size coffee makers, large and small pots & pans, griddles, plates, cups and silverware for 20+. Guests are welcome to use this facility.
A condition of use is that a group will properly wash and reshelf or place on the drying rack all implements used by them before leaving. Any time housekeeping spends cleaning in the kitchen other than moping the floor will be charged as an extra. Adjacent to the kitchen area is a work area with bench for ski tuning and a desk for use by the group leader.
NO ANIMALS ALLOWED
With the prevalence of cell phones, the Abbey does not have a hard line phone. The Abbey is within cell service range of AT& T, Cellular and Verizon.
The lodge features a sauna which comfortably sits 5. A group must light the sauna in the morning in order for it to be ready at days end.
The rooms have a variety of bed arrangements.

The Abbey opened its doors in November 1971, and has hosted thousands of guests since that time. We now have many second generation guests whose parents stayed with us when they were with a high school or church group.
Our name, the "Abbey of Theleme", comes from an Abbey described in the 15th century novel Garantua by Rabelais. The original Abbey of Theleme was populated by both men and women and had only one rule of conduct: Do what thou wilt (in the modern "Do what you will").
The Abbey is owned by:
